How To See South Africa in 7 Days

South Africa is a diverse and beautiful country, rich in culture and history. With so much to see and do, it can be overwhelming to plan a trip that allows you to experience the best of what the country has to offer. However, with careful planning, you can see a lot of South Africa in just seven days.

Day 1: Arrive in Johannesburg

Start your trip in Johannesburg, the largest city in South Africa. Johannesburg is known for its vibrant culture and history, as well as its role in the fight against apartheid. Visit the Apartheid Museum to learn more about the country's troubled past, and then head to the trendy neighborhoods of Maboneng or Braamfontein to experience the city's modern side.

Day 2: Johannesburg to Cape Town

Catch an early morning flight to Cape Town, the second-largest city in South Africa and a popular tourist destination. Cape Town is home to many iconic landmarks, including Table Mountain, which offers breathtaking views of the city and the ocean. Take a cable car to the top of the mountain and then head to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront for some shopping and dining.

Day 3: Cape Peninsula Tour

Spend the day exploring the Cape Peninsula. The scenic drive from Cape Town to the Cape of Good Hope is a must-do. Along the way, you will pass through the picturesque towns of Hout Bay and Kommetjie, and you can take a boat trip to see the seals at Duiker Island. At the Cape of Good Hope, you'll get to witness the meeting point of the Indian and Atlantic oceans.

Day 4: Winelands and Stellenbosch

Day 5: Cape Town to Kruger National Park

Go on a safari to see these animals in their natural habitat, and keep your eyes peeled for other animals such as giraffes, zebras, and crocodiles.

Day 6: Kruger National Park

Spend the day exploring Kruger National Park. Take a morning and afternoon game drive to see as much wildlife as possible. You can also go on a guided walk to learn more about the park's flora and fauna.

Day 7: Kruger National Park to Johannesburg

Catch an early morning flight to Johannesburg and take some time to relax before your flight home.
